NEW ORLEANS -- Denzel Livingston scored 29 points in a battle of Southland Conference newcomers, as Incarnate Word beat New Orleans 78-55 on Saturday.
Livingston made nine of his 13 field goal attempts, had five assists and four steals for Incarnate Word (13-2, 1-1). Kyle Hittle added 19 and the Cardinals shot 50.9 percent.
Incarnate Word led by 10 points at halftime after closing the half on 18-2 run. New Orleans committed eight turnovers and shot 1 of 6 from the field during that stretch.
