Wofford Terriers @ Saint Louis Billikens
Saint Louis shuts down Wofford 66-52
ST. LOUIS -- Jordair Jett took the scoring reins, notching 16 points as Saint Louis beat Wofford 66-52 on Saturday night.
Leading scorer Dwayne Evans (15.7 ppg) was off the mark, scoring only 4 points, but Jett and Rob Loe (14 points) filled the gap for Saint Louis.
The Billikens (9-2) burned Wofford on a 20-4 run, chewing-up 10 first-half minutes, but led by only eight at the break. The score at intermission may have been closer but Saint Louis made 12-of-15 free throws, while the Terriers were only 3 of 4 from the line.
The Billikin point spread remained unchanged throughout most of the second half until Wofford (3-6) went cold, missing several long-ballers in the final 6 minutes and falling behind 66-50 before scoring the last 2 points of the game on a not-so-redeeming dunk by C.J. Neumann.
Spencer Collins added to his team-leading average with 17 points.
