OXFORD, Ohio -- Kris Brewer hit 9 of 11 shots, including all seven of his 3-pointers, to score 28 points and lead Kent State to a 75-63 win over Miami (Ohio) on Wednesday.
Brewer tied his career-high by setting a career-high in 3-pointers, coming off the bench for the third-straight game in an effort to shake up the offense. Devareaux Manley scored 15 points off the bench as the Golden Flashes (15-11, 6-7 Mid-American Conference) had a 50-14 advantage in bench scoring.
In the first game with Brewer playing a reserve role, the Golden Flashes out-scored Bowling Green bench 45-2.
Will Felder had 23 points for the RedHawks (9-15, 5-8).
Kent State, which led 28-22 at the half, hit 15 of 26 3's en route to shooting 52 percent from the floor for the game.
Miami countered by making 20 of 28 free throws to the Golden Flashes' 4 of 7.
