Hot shooting Saint Mary's rolls past LMU 77-58
LOS ANGELES -- Beau Levesque scored 17 points with a career-high 14 rebounds and five assists to help Saint Mary's roll to a 77-58 win over Loyola Marymount on Thursday night.
Kerry Carter was 7 of 12 from the field, including four 3-pointers, on his way to 20 points to lead Saint Mary's. Stephen Holt scored 17 points with four assists, and Brad Waldow added 12 for Saint Mary's which snapped a two-game road losing skid.
The Gaels (17-7, 7-4 West Coast Conference) scored the first 14 points and never trailed, shooting 31 of 58 from the field for 58.5 percent.
LMU had a 13-2 run to end the first half down 37-31, and would get within four points, 39-35 with 18:20 to play. Evan Payne scored 17 points with six assists. Anthony Ireland scored 13 points and Alex Osborne added 10 for the Lions (11-13, 3-9).
