Incarnate Word gets past Texas A&M-Int 75-56
SAN ANTONIO -- Denzel Livingstone scored 26 points in helping the University of the Incarnate Word roll past Texas A&M-International 75-56 on Saturday afternoon.
Incarnate Word (6-1) never trailed in the game, however Texas A&M-Int (4-4) was able to tie it up several times late in the first half before the Cardinals inched away and led 42-31 at half. The Cardinals led in the second by as many as 26 points and settled for the 19 point victory.
The Cardinals shot 54 percent from the field and hit a respectable 50 percent (9-18) from the 3-point range. Kyle Hittle contributed 18 points and Mitchell Badillo helped in the victory with 11 points.
The Falcons were led by Curtis Trotter scoring 13 and Jordan Clark with 12 points. The team made only 40 percent of their field goal tries.
