UNCASVILLE, Conn. -- Terry Allen scored 16 points as Richmond beat Fairfield 68-47 on Sunday in the Hall of Fame Tipoff Tournament.
The Spiders (4-2) opened the game on a 13-2 run and held Fairfield (1-5) to just 17 points in the first half. Richmond led by as many as 26 in the second.
Derrick Williams and ShawnDre' Jones also scored in double figures for the Spiders with 11 points apiece.
Richmond scored 26 of its points from the free throw line, where it shot 81.3 percent.
Fairfield shot just 33.3 percent from the field and was 2 of 19 from beyond the 3-point arc. Marcus Gilbert led Fairfield with 10 points but missed all five of the 3-pointers he attempted.
