NEW YORK -- Sheldon Hagigal scored 15 points with four rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals as St. Francis (NY) defeated Canisius 67-51 Saturday.
Amdy Fall scored 11 points and Jalen Cannon had eight points with a game-high 10 rebounds for the Terriers (6-5). Brent Jones came off the bench to score six points with eight assists. The team went 45 percent from the field and sank 83 percent from the line.
Kevin Douglas' 3-point jumper at 14:37 gave St. Francis an early first-half lead. The Terriers maintained the advantage through most of the period and were up by three at the break. The Terriers fell behind by the same margin early in the second but fought back with a 31-9 run to lead by 19 with two minutes left to play.
Billy Baron led the Golden Griffins (6-4) with 11 points, six rebounds and four assists.
