Morgan State rolls past Florida A&M 81-68
NORFOLK, Va. -- Justin Black scored a career-high 29 points to lead No. 3 seed Morgan State over sixth-seeded Florida A&M 81-68 in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tournament quarterfinal Thursday night.
Black was 10 of 14 from the field, including three 3-pointers, and grabbed nine rebounds. Ian Chiles scored 15 points and Cedric Blossom added 12. Anthony Hubbard, who averages 10.8 points per game, chipped in 9 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Morgan State. The Bears avenged a 78-73 defeat by the Rattlers on March 3.
Jamie Adams scored 26 points on 7-of-17 shooting, had four 3s and dished out four assists to lead Florida A&M (14-18). Jamari Bradshaw added 12 points with four steals.
Morgan State (14-15) faces No. 7 seed Coppin State (12-19) in the semifinals on Friday. The Bears defeated the Eagles twice in February.
