Haws scores 19 points, leads BYU past Weber State 76-60
OGDEN, Utah -- Tyler Haws scored 19 points and dished out five assists to lead BYU to a 76-60 victory over Weber State on Saturday night.
Haws scored 14 points in the first half to help the Cougars build a 39-25 halftime lead. In the second, Skyler Halford drained a 3 to give BYU a 49-32 lead with 15:05 remaining. Weber State pulled within 55-45 at the 10:00 mark, but could not get closer.
Isaac Neilson and Chase Fischer each hit four 3-pointers for BYU (8-3), which finished 12 of 19 from beyond the arc. Neilson scored 15 points and Fischer chipped in 13. Haws finished 5 of 10 from the floor and 8 of 10 from the line.
Jeremy Senglin had 16 points and five assists, and James Hajek scored 11 points for Weber State (3-5).
