Hot-shooting St. Peter's rolls past Boston U 70-59
BOSTON -- Marvin Dominique had 22 points with 10 rebounds, Trevis Wyche dished out 10 assists and Saint Peter's defeated Boston U 70-59 on Saturday.
Quadir Welton chipped in 16 points with eight boards for the Peacocks (3-6), who shot a scorching 61.4 percent from the field. Dominique hit five of St. Peter's 11 3-pointers.
Tyler Gaskins and Travis Hester each scored nine points and Wyche had seven, contributing to a balanced scoring effort.
Hester and Dominique each hit a pair of 3-pointers as the Peacocks extended a five-point lead early in the half to 20 at the break. Wyche's 3-pointer made it 49-24 early in the second and St. Peter's coasted from there.
Eric Fanning led the Terriers (2-5) with 17 points and seven rebounds. Cedric Hankerson added 15 and Nathan Dieudonne had 10 with six boards. Boston was held to 19-of-48 shooting (39.6 percent)
