Florida A&M romps in 2nd half, tops Florida A&M 75-57
GREENVILLE, N.C. -- Caleb White knocked down three of four 3-point attempts in the first three minutes of the second half to give East Carolina the lead as the Pirates cruised to a 75-57 win over winless Florida A&M Monday night.
The Rattlers (0-11) took a 29-27 lead at the break, but East Carolina had a 20-point advantage in the second half, outscoring Florida A&M 48-28.
White finished with 19 points to lead the Pirates (6-6), knocking down 7 of 15 shots from the field and 4 of 9 from distance. Michel-Ofik Nzege added 14 points and grabbed six boards while B.J. Tyson added 11 points.
Jermaine Ruttley scored 16 points to lead Florida A&M and Craig Bowman added 13 more.
East Carolina took 14 more shots from the field than the Rattlers, and knocked down 28 of 64 attempts (43.8 percent) and was 7 of 23 from behind the arc.
