North Dakota State tops Kennesaw State 68-55
FARGO, N.D. -- Paul Miller had 17 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead North Dakota State to a 68-55 win over Kennesaw State on Friday night.
Chris Kading finished with 12 points and four rebounds and both Kory Brown and Lawrence Alexander chipped in 11 for the Bison (1-2). The team shot 41 percent from three and won the rebounding battle 35-26.
Nigel Pruitt had 20 points and four rebounds, 18 of his points coming from 3-pointers. Willy Kouassi added 10 points, five assists, four rebounds and three blocks for the Owls (0-4).
A.J. Jacobson hit a 3-pointer for North Dakota State to go up 42-19 to start the second half, then Kennesaw State scored 36 of the next 46 to take a 55-52 lead with 7:34 remaining. Kennesaw then proceeded to finish the game 0-of-12 shooting, leaving the door open for the Bison to close out, scoring the last 16 points.
