Eastern Kentucky downs IUPUI 73-64

INDIANAPOLIS -- Corey Walden scored 20 points, Eric Stutz added 17, and Eastern Kentucky beat IUPUI 73-64 on Saturday, handing the Jaguars their fifth straight loss.

Ja'Mill Powell scored 13 points and the Colonels (5-3) ended a three-game losing streak.

Mason Archie II led IUPUI (2-6) with 12 points, Aaron Brennan had 11, and the Jaguars were outrebounded 27-22.

Eastern Kentucky led 13-8 on a layup by Stutz and pulled ahead 26-16 after a 3-pointer by Jonathan Hood. Brennan put IUPUI up by one, 32-31, with a dunk with 33 seconds to play, but Walden hit a 3-pointer -- one of four in the half -- and the Colonels led 34-32 at halftime.

Jaylen Babb-Harrison hit a 3 to spark a 17-2 run and the Colonels pulled to a 61-39 second-half lead. The Jaguars replied with a 12-2 run, but couldn't catch up.
