James Madison tops Colgate 77-71
HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Yohanny Dalembert scored 20 points with six rebounds and James Madison topped Colgate 77-71 on Monday.
James Madison (3-1) used an 11-point run midway through the first half, including a pair of 3-pointers by Jackson Kent, to open a 14-point lead, but Colgate immediately responded with a 12-point run of its own, capped by Ethan Jacobs' trey, and trailed by just four at intermission.
Colgate (1-3) got as close at 3 points with 3:37 left after an Ethan Jacobs layup, but JMU made 10 of 15 free throws in the last 3 minutes to seal the victory.
Kent finished with 17 points, including 3 of 4 from beyond the arc. Ron Curry had 19 points and six assists and Winston Grays added 10 points.
Colgate was led by Matt McMullen with 18 points. Austin Tillotson added 17 points and Damon Sherman-Newsome had 14 points.
