Hinrichs paces Lafayette past Loyola (Md), 69-65
EASTON, Pa. -- Seth Hinrichs hit five 3-pointers and finished with 22 points to lead Lafayette to a 69-65 win over Loyola Maryland on Wednesday night.
Loyola's Denzel Brito made two free throws with 1:27 left to pull within 67-65. He missed a shot with 22 seconds left and Joey Ptasinski sealed the win with two free throws.
Dan Trist had 13 points and Ptasinski pitched in 11 points for Lafayette (11-5, 3-2 Patriot).
Andre Walker had 17 points for Loyola (6-10, 2-3) on just 4-of-12 shooting from the field but hit all eight of his free throw attempts. Tyler Hubbard made a four of his 3-pointers and had 14 points. Eric Laster added 13 and five rebounds and Cam Gregory pulled down 11 boards.
Tied at 37 going into the second half, Loyola took a quick five point lead only to be countered by eight straight Leopards points coming from Hinrichs.
