SAN DIEGO -- Johnny Dee scored 18, Chris Anderson added 14 and Jito Kok had a school-record eight blocks in San Diego's 59-50 win over Loyola Marymount on Thursday night.
Neither team led by more than four in the second half until San Diego (9-8, 2/3 West Coast Conference) went on a 13-0 run to lead 52-43 on Dee's jumper with 2:28 left. Anderson sparked the rally with a pair of 3-pointers and finished 4 of 5 behind the arc with six assists and four steals.
Evan Payne scored 14 of his 15 points in the second half, leading LMU (4-12, 0-4) to a 41-37 lead with 9:27 left. Payne also had four steals and Patson Siame added 10 points.
Kok had his eighth block with 12:44 left in the game, surpassing Roberto Mafra's previous single-game record of seven which he set against Santa Clara on March 5, 2010.
