SAN FRANCISCO -- Garrett Jackson went 10 for 13, with 4 of 5 from 3-point range and a career-high 26 points Thursday night as Saint Mary's beat San Francisco 84-53.
Brad Waldow and Kerry Carter added 18 points each. Waldow went 7 for 8 with seven rebounds while Carter added six boards and five assists.
Saint Mary's (21-7, 13-4 West Coast) never trailed and led by as many as 22 in the first half on its way to a 49-29 edge at the break. The Gaels kept their lead at or above 20 in the second and finished 14 of 27 from 3-point range.
The Gaels clinched at least a tie for second place in the final conference standings, staying one game ahead of BYU (12-5) with one game to go for both teams.
Tim Derksen led San Francisco (12-17, 6-11) with 12 points and Kruize Pinkins grabbed 10 rebounds.
