Moore leads North Florida over Liberty 77-57
CANCUN, Mexico -- Dallas Moore hit 4 of 7 3-pointers and scored 20 points to lead North Florida to a 77-57 win over Liberty on Tuesday in the Mayan Division of the Cancun Challenge.
Demarcus Daniels came off the bench to score 12 points for the Ospreys (2-3). Jalen Nesbitt added 10.
James Johnson and David Andoh had 10 apiece for the Flames (2-3), who were hampered by 12-of-21 shooting from the foul line and 19 turnovers.
North Florida, starting with Moore's 3-pointer to open the game, scored the first eight points, and, capped by Moore's 3, led 16-2 less than 5 minutes in. The Flames were down 16 late in the first half but rallied to trail 42-35 at intermission.
A 3 from Nesbitt pushed the lead back to 10 midway through the second half and the Osprey steadily pulled away.
