Chattanooga pulls away from Lipscomb 78-60
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- Eric Robertson scored 20, Greg Pryor had 19 points, five rebounds and six assists, and Chattanooga used a big second half to beat Lipscomb 78-60 on Monday night.
Chattanooga (8-6) pulled away to a 70-51 lead midway through the second half with 14 straight point capped by Robertson's 3-pointer. Lipscomb (5-8) never threatened from there and the Mocs won the fifth of their last six games.
Robertson was 5 of 9 from 3-point range and Pryor was 4 of 7.
Malcolm Smith led Lipscomb with 14 points and six rebounds. Josh Williams added 12 points and J.C. Hampton scored 10.
Chattanooga jumped ahead 27-19, but Lipscomb closed the first period on a 12-2 run to cut their deficit to 36-35 by halftime. The Bisons continued rolling early in the second, leading by as many as four points before the Mocs scored nine straight to take the lead for good.
