Greene ties career-high; USC Upstate beats Stetson 91-67
SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Ty Greene hit five 3-pointers in the second half and tied a career-high with 29 points to lead South Carolina Upstate past Stetson 91-67 on Saturday.
Greene was 8 of 12 from the field, including 6 of 7 from 3-point range, and hit seven of his eight free throws. He's now in the top 5 in school history for free throws made, 3-pointers made, steals and career points.
ShunQuez Stephens and Michael Buchanan added 15 points apiece for USC Upstate (14-7, 2/3 Atlantic Sun). Buchanan grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds. Fred Miller made three of USC Upstate's 15 3-pointers and finished with 11 points.
USC Upstate closed the first half on an 8-0 run and opened the second half by scoring 12 unanswered, highlighted by seven consecutive points by Greene.
Divine Myles paced Stetson (5-15, 0-5) with 19 points and six assists.
