SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Ty Greene scored 25 points and South Carolina Upstate handled North Florida 80-63 on Thursday.
Greene was 9 of 18 from the floor with seven rebounds. ShunQuez Stephens had 14 points with 10 boards and Fred Miller added 10 points as the Spartans (19-7, 6-3 Atlantic Sun) shot 51 percent, was 7 of 12 from beyond the arc and outrebounded North Florida 41-28.
SC Upstate trailed much of the first half, but Stephens' jumper with 23 seconds left sent the teams to the lockers tied at 36.
Upstate held a four-point lead with 9:45 left but went on a 17-2 run -- including a 3-pointer by Miller -- to take control of the game.
Chris Davenport led North Florida (15-11, 7-2) with 17 points while Beau Beach added 11 points.
