Coastal Carolina rolls over UNC Asheville 68-56
CONWAY, S.C. -- Josh Cameron scored 18 points and Elijah Wilson added 15 to lead Coastal Carolina to a 68-56 Big South Conference victory over North Carolina-Asheville on Tuesday night.
With the victory, Coastal Carolina's Cliff Ellis became the first coach in Division I history to win 150 or more games at four different schools.
Cameron was 4 of 8 from the floor and made 9 of 13 free throws for 18 points. Wilson made 3 of 6 from long range to total 15 and Tristian Curtis chipped in 10 for Coastal Carolina (16-7, 7-4).
The teams were tied at 27 at the half but Coastal Carolina started the second period with a 17-2 run to lead 44-29 with 11:40 left. The Bulldogs never challenged again.
Corey Littlejohn had 14 points and David Robertson added 10 for UNC Asheville (11-11, 7-4). The Bulldogs were held to 33.9 percent shooting.
