Grand Canyon cruises to 64-49 win over Florida A&M
PHOENIX -- Royce Woolridge had 15 points and Daniel Alexander added 13 and eight rebounds to lead Grand Canyon to a 64-49 victory over Florida A&M on Friday night.
The game was tied at 18 with 3:58 left in the first half when Grand Canyon's Ryan Majerle had a three-point play that led to a 16-4 run and a 34-22 halftime advantage. Majerle finished with 11 points.
The Antelopes (2-2) started the second period with a 17-4 run to lead 52-26 with 9:41 remaining.
The Antelopes made 24 of 59 shots from the field, while holding the Rattlers to 18 of 51 attempts. Grand Canyon won the rebound battle 40-33.
Jermaine Ruttley led the Rattlers (0-4) with 16 points and eight rebounds.
