Tennessee Tech balances sinks UMKC 81-60
KANSAS City, Mo. -- Josiah Moore came off the bench to lead a balanced attack with 14 points and Tennessee Tech defeated Missouri-Kansas City 81-60 on Monday.
Dwan Caldwell had 12 points, Torrance Rowe and Aleska Juqovic added 11 each and Charles Jackson had 10 for the Golden Eagles (7-5).
Tennessee Tech shot 59 percent and outrebounded Kansas City 45-23, with Moore and Javon McKay grabbing eight.
Martez Harrison led the Kangaroos (4-9) with 16 points and Noah Knight had 12. UMKC shot just 35 percent, 14 percent from 3-point range (3 of 21).
Tennessee Tech shot 60 percent in the first half, racing to a 45-24 lead. Rowe had all of his points by halftime. The Golden Eagles scored the first nine points and when Rowe completed a three-point play at 5:26 of the first half it was 35-14.
