Fordham uses big 2nd half to beat Howard, 74-60
NEW YORK CITY -- Christian Sengfelder scored all of his 19 points in the second half to spark Fordham to a 74-60 non-conference win over Howard Sunday.
The Rams held a two-point lead at halftime, but Sengfelder scored the first eight Fordham points to start the second half and added a jumper during an 11-2 run midway through the final period to balloon the Rams' lead to 55-38. Sengfelder scored 11 points in the first 4:30 of the second half.
Mandell Thomas scored 17 points, grabbed six boards and dished off seven assists for Fordham (4-6). Eric Paschall added 15 points and pulled down six boards and Ray Rhomes added 11 points and nine rebounds.
Fordham outrebounded the Bison 37-24, and shot 53.8 percent from the field (28 of 52).
James Daniel scored 19 points to lead Howard (7-8), which shot 37 percent (20 of 54).
