Harvard tops Vermont 64-52 in double-overtime
BURLINGTON, Vt. -- Wesley Saunders scored 25 points with six rebounds and seven steals as Harvard defeated Vermont 64-52 in double overtime Saturday night.
Corbin Miller added 14 points for the Crimson (6-1) and Siyani Chambers had 13. Steve Moundou-Missi led the team with 17 rebounds.
Vermont had a 24-21 lead at the break. In the second, the teams stayed close throughout until the Catamounts went up 44-41 with 1:46 remaining. Then Chambers hit a 3-pointer for the Crimson to tie it up and send the game into overtime.
The teams finished the first overtime locked 50-50.
Miller sank a 3 to kick off the second OT and Harvard finished the period with an 11-2 run highlighted by a dunk by Moundou-Missi and a jumper by Chambers for the win.
Hector Harold led the Catamounts (4-4) with 12 points and eight rebounds. Kurt Steidl added 11 points and six rebounds.
