Eastern Kentucky Colonels @ Florida Atlantic Owls
Florida Atlantic holds off Eastern Kentucky late, wins 69-66
BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Javier Lacunza drilled a 3-pointer with time winding down on the shot clock and Jackson Trapp followed with another 3 to give Florida Atlantic the lead for good in a 69-66 win over Eastern Kentucky Monday night.
Trapp's 3 gave the Owls a 68-62 lead with :27 left.
Eastern Kentucky (6-5), coming off a 28-point win over No. 18 Miami, got a dunk from Ja'Mill Powell and layup from Corey Walden to make it a two-point game. Trapp finished with 19 points and knocked down 6 of 10 shots from behind the arc to lead Florida Atlantic (6-4). Marquan Botley added 15 points and C.J. Turman 12.
