FIU beats Florida A&M 76-55
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Adrian Diaz scored 19 points to lead Florida International over Florida A&M 76-55 on Monday.
Diaz was 8 of 9 from the floor and made all three of his free throws. Dennis Mavin made three 3-pointers and ended with 16 points as the Golden Panthers (7-6) shot 54 percent from the floor and were 9 of 24 (38 percent) from beyond the arc.
The Rattlers (0-12) were led by 20 points from Jermaine Ruttley while Craig Bowman added 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting.
FIU outrebounded Florida A&M 35-26 and the Rattlers made just 50 percent (12 of 24) from the line.
The Panthers led 38-19 at the break and evened the series record at 6-6, avenging last season's overtime loss. FIU is in the midst of an eight-game road trip.
