Colorado uses 25-0 run to ground Air Force, 68-53

BOULDER, Colo. -- Xavier Johnson scored 15 points and nine rebounds, and Josh Scott scored 11 of his 13 points in the second half, and the Buffaloes used a 25-0 run in the first half to trounce in-state foe Air Force 68-53 on Tuesday.

Johnson tapped a layup off the glass and grabbed a steal before he threw down a dunk on Air Force's ensuing possession during the more than nine-minute run. And Xavier Talton hit two of his three 3-pointers to help put his team up 31-10 with 5:04 left in the first half.

Colorado (3-1) notched its 21st consecutive home win over a non-conference team -- the third longest streak in program history.

Trevor Lyons and Matt Mooney each had 10 points for the Falcons, who missed 12 consecutive shots during the first-half run that buried them.
