Bryant out shoots Wagner, 81-73
SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Dyami Starks scored 26 points on 8 of 14 shooting from the field and added six steals to lead Bryant to an 81-73 victory over Wagner on Thursday night.
Joe O'Shea added 19 points and five rebounds while Shane McLaughlin finished with 11 points for Bryant (7-7, 4-1 Northeast Conference), which has won four of its past five games.
The Bulldogs shot 51 percent from the field and got to the free throw line 36 times, hitting 27 of their attempts, while holding Wagner to just 38.1 percent from the field and forcing 14 total turnovers.
Bryant led 36-30 at halftime. After Wagner battled back to tie the score early in the second, Bryant put together a 24-8 stretch, capped off by a Starks jumper, to end the Seahawks comeback.
Marcus Burton scored 31 points to lead Wagner (4-12, 2-3).
