Bryant edges Robert Morris 71-68
MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Dan Garvin scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds, leading four players in double figures, as Bryant held on late to edge Robert Morris 71-68 on Saturday.
Dyami Starks added 18 points for the Bulldogs (10-10, 7-3 Northeast Conference). Bosko Kostur had 11 points and Shane McLaughlin 10.
McLaughlin sank a 3-pointer to put the Bulldogs up 29-22 with 1:14 remaining before the break and they led 31-24 at halftime.
Robert Morris battled to within three points, 39-36, with 12:56 to play with the help of a pair of back-to-back 3-pointers by Lucky Jones. Jones sank another 3 with 12 seconds left to cut the Bulldogs' lead to 69-68 but Bryant's Joe O'Shea went 2 of 2 from the line in the final seconds to keep the Bulldogs on top for the win.
Jones had 19 points and eight rebounds for the Colonials (11-11, 7-3).
