St. Francis holds off Fairleigh Dickinson 78-69
TEANECK, N.J. -- Jalen Cannon had 19 points with nine rebounds and Antonio Jenifer scored all 11 of his points in the final nine minutes as St. Francis defeated Fairleigh Dickinson 78-69 on Thursday night.
Brent Jones added 14 points, Glenn Sanabria had 12 and each finished with five assists for the Terriers (9-7, 3-0 Northeast), who shot 50 percent from the field.
Xavier Harris led Fairleigh Dickinson (7-7, 2-1) with 12 points and 10 rebounds, Mustafaa Jones chipped in 12 points and Darian Anderson added 10 with three steals. The Knights scored 20 points off turnovers, but committed 27 fouls leading to 39 free throw attempts for St. Francis.
The Terriers pushed out to a 47-32 halftime lead, but Fairleigh Dickinson fought back to tie it at 58 with 9:06 remaining. Jenifer scored 11 of the next 14 for St. Francis, hitting three 3-pointers and a layup to stave off the rally.
