TEANECK, N.J. -- Gregory Graves scored 21 points, with 10 rebounds and six steals, to lead Mount St. Mary's to a 71-51 win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Thursday night.
Byron Ashe also pumped in 21 points, hitting 8 of 12 from the field and 4 of 8 from 3-point range, to help Mount St. Mary's (7-9, 3-2 Northeast) to its third straight win. Graves was 11 of 12 from the free throw line.
The Mountaineers, who finished with a 37-30 rebounding advantage, opened with a 13-3 run to build a double-figure lead that was never challenged. Mount St. Mary's carried a 33-15 advantage into the break and continued to pull away over the final 20 minutes.
Fairleigh Dickinson (7-9, 2-3) was held to 33 percent shooting on 54 attempts and trailed 26-11 in made free throws.
Marques Townes led the Knights with 17 points and Malachi Nix had 15.
