NEW YORK -- Nura Zanna scored 15 points and Elvar Fridriksson added 14 as LIU Brooklyn came from behind to beat St. Francis (PA) 66-60 on Saturday.
LIU Brooklyn scored the first two points and then fell behind, trailing by 12 points at the break. Despite tying several times in the second half, the Blackbirds could not get in front until Zanna made a layup for a one-point lead with 5:13 to play. Earl Brown answered on the other end, converting two free throws to regain the advantage, but back-to-back 3's from Gerrell Martin and Fridriksson put the Blackbirds ahead for good.
LIU Brooklyn led for just 4:26 in the contest.
Zanna shot 6 of 12 from the floor and finished with nine rebounds. Landon Atterberry chipped in 10 points for the Blackbirds (10-13, 6-6 Northeast Conference).
Brown and Dominique Major each scored 12 points for the Red Flash (13-10, 7-5).
