Robert Morris beats Mount St. Mary's 63-59 in OT
EMMITSBURG, Md. -- Marcquise Reed hit a pull-up, fade-away 3-pointer to tie it with 11.5 seconds left in regulation, and Robert Morris shut out Mount St. Mary's in overtime to pull out a 63-59 win on Thursday night.
Rodney Pryor hit a jumper and David Appolon made two free throws in overtime to seal it for Robert Morris (9-10, 5-2 Northeast Conference). Mount St. Mary's missed all eight of its shots in the extra period.
Mount St. Mary's Kristijan Krajina split a pair of free throws to give the Mountaineers a 59-56 lead, leaving the door open for Reed's game-tying trey. Mount St. Mary's couldn't answer when Will Miller's 3-point shot missed, and Gregory Graves attempted tip-in rolled off the iron at the buzzer to send the game to overtime.
Graves scored 16 points and Byron Ashe had 13 lead Mount St. Mary's (8-10, 4-3).
