Louisiana-Monroe beats Louisiana College 83-55
MONROE, La. -- Tylor Ongwae scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Louisiana-Monroe past Division III Louisiana College 83-55 on Saturday.
Ongwae was 9 of 15 from the field to help Louisiana-Monroe (3-3) shoot 55.6 percent. The Warhawks held Louisiana College to 32.8 percent.
Majok Deng had 14 points, and Justin Roberson and Nick Coppola had 12 apiece for Monroe. Coppola had 12 assists -- one less than Louisiana College's total.
Anthony Gaines Jr. was 8 of 18 from the field and finished with 20 points, seven rebounds and three blocks for Louisiana College.
