LORETTO, Pa. -- Earl Brown scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, Ollie Jackson added 19 points, including four 3-pointers, and St. Francis (Pa) beat Wagner 85-68 on Saturday in a Northeast Conference opener.
Dominique Major hit four 3-pointers, Greg Brown had 11 points, and Malik Harmon had six assists for the Red Flash (7-5, 1-0).
Stedman Allen opened with a layup for Wagner, but St. Francis ripped a 12-2 run, then led 25-12 after Major hit back-to-back 3-pointers. The Seahawks gained on a 9-2 run to pull within six, 38-32, but Jackson hit a 3 and the Red Flash led 41-33 at halftime.
St. Francis used a 16-7 run to pull ahead early in the second half, then led by 22, 66-44, after Major again hit consecutive treys. Earl Brown scored 15 in the half and the Red Flash shot 50 percent from distance (13-26).
Corey Henson led Wagner (2-10, 0-1) with 15 and Allen had 12.
