Green Bay beats Detroit 96-76
ASHWAUBENON, Wis. -- Greg Mays scored a career-high 34 points to lead Green Bay to a 96-76 victory over Detroit on Wednesday night.
Mays finished with 10-of-15 shooting from the field and 14-of-17 from the line for the Phoenix (21-6, 10-3 Horizon League). Keifer Sykes added 23 points with seven rebounds and eight assists. Carrington Love had 15 points and Jordan Fouse added 13.
Mays scored 11 points, Sykes slammed a dunk and Love sank a 3-pointer as part of a 17-5 Green Bay surge in the final 3:42 of the first half that gave the Phoenix a 47-34 lead at halftime.
Juwan Howard Jr. rallied Detroit in the second half, scoring 18 points including a trio of 3-pointers. But the Phoenix continued to dominate and they cruised to the win.
Howard finished with 24 points for the Titans (12-17, 5-9). Paris Bass netted a double-double with 19 points and 10 boards.
