Wright State overpowers D II Urbana 81-58
DAYTON, Ohio -- JT Yoho and Joe Thomasson scored 23 and 20 points, respectively, as Wright State placed four starters in double figures defeating Division II Urbana 81-58 on Sunday night.
Yoho finished two points shy of his career scoring best, 25 last month. Thomasson's scored 20 points, his career high, in back-to-back games. He also dished a career-best eight assists.
The Raiders (5-4) shot 45 percent from the field (25-55) and took advantage of 26 fouls on the Blue Knights (2-7), making 24 of 30 foul shots. They scored 20 points off 15 Urbana turnovers.
Urbana posted the longest losing streak in the country last season at 0-27, but scrapped back from more than 10 points down several times in the first half to come as close as 20-18. Matt Csuhran led with 20 points.
The Raiders hit 15 free throws in the second half, opening leads as large as 26 points.
