Tulane cruises to a 100-61 win over MVSU
NEW ORLEANS -- Jay Hook scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Tulane to a 100-61 win over MVSU on Thursday.
Louis Dabney had 11 points, six rebounds and four steals for Tulane. Jonathan Stark scored 13 and Kajon Mack 11 for the Green Wave (1-1 American Athletic Conference).
DeAngelo Priar had 14 points and two steals and Jordan Washington added 11 points, five rebounds and four assists for MVSU (0-3 Southwestern Atlantic Conference).
Hook scored 12 in the first half to give Tulane a 41-27 lead at the break. The Green Wave started off the second half on a 33-13 run capped by 3-pointer by Hook, and kept the lead.
Tulane shot 60 percent from the field on 37-of-62 shooting and 46 percent from 3-point range. The Green Wave also won the rebounding battle 43-25.
