Chattanooga rallies to beat Coastal Carolina 78-67
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- Ronrico White scored 21 points -- 18 of which came in the second half -- and Casey Jones added 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead Chattanooga past Coastal Carolina 78-67 in the championship game of the Battle 4 Atlantis' mainland bracket on Thursday.
White had scored 31 points in the Mocs' first five games.
Greg Pryor added 15 points and Justin Tuoyo scored 11 and blocked a career-high six shots for Chattanooga (3-3).
Coastal Carolina (4-2) led 46-43 with about 16 minutes left before White hit a pair of 3-pointers during an 8-0 run which gave Chattanooga the lead for good.
The Chanticleers pulled within five with 3:32 to play, but Chattanooga made 11 of 12 free throws down the stretch to seal it.
Shivaughn Wiggins scored a career-high 20 points to lead Coastal Carolina. Josh Cameron and Warren Gillis added 13 apiece.
