Frye, Gill score 13 apiece, New Orleans beats Bradley 64-51
PEORIA, Ill. -- Christavious Gill and Nate Frye scored 13 points apiece to help New Orleans beat Bradley 64-51 on Wednesday night.
Gill made three of New Orleans' seven 3-pointers. Frye was 8 of 8 from the free-throw line, and had six rebounds and four assists.
Erik Thomas added seven points and eight rebounds for New Orleans (2-2), which connected on just 21 of 56 field goals in the first of a four-game road swing.
New Orleans held the Braves without a field goal over the last 3:30 of the first half for a 33-25 lead. Then Bradley only made two field goals in the first eight minutes of the second half and fell behind 40-31.
Donte Thomas recorded his second straight double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds for Bradley (1-5). Ka'Darryl Bell added 10 points for the Braves, who made just 17 of 54 shots (32 percent).
