Hervey, Neal leads Texas-Arlington to 97-61 win over Bradley
ARLINGTON, Texas -- Kevin Hervey and Erick Neal had 20 points apiece to lead Texas-Arlington to a dominating 97-61 win over Bradley on Tuesday night.
Hervey also grabbed 10 rebounds while Neal, who was 5 of 6 from beyond the arc, dished out 10 assists.
Drew Charles was 5 of 8 from long range for 17 points and Nathan Hawkins made 4 of 7 from distance for 17 as the Mavericks nailed 17 of 40 (42.5 percent) from beyond the arc.
Texas-Arlington (8-2), off to its best start in eight years, made 33 of 69 (47.8 percent) from the floor while limiting the Braves to 19-of-47 (40.4 percent) shooting.
UTA led 19-16 midway in the first half, but then sprinted to a 53-32 halftime advantage. The Mavericks opened the second half with a 16-8 run and coasted to the win.
Scottie James had 16 points for Bradley (1-9). Ronnie Suggs and Antoine Pittman chipped in 10 apiece.
