ATLANTA -- Shawn Long had his 11th double-double of the season -- 23 points and 18 rebounds -- as Louisiana-Lafayette handed Georgia State its first home loss this season, 87-54 on Saturday.
Georgia State won 15 straight at home and was 33-1 on the home floor dating back to the 2013-14 season before the Ragin' Cajuns came to town.
Long scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the second half. Kasey Shepherd was 5 of 11 from long range for 19 points and Hayward Register, who nailed 4 of 7 from beyond the arc, finished with 15 points for Louisiana-Lafayette (7-8, 3-3 Sun Belt).
The Panthers, leading 35-31 at the break, shot 64 percent in the second half to win that period 52-23.
Kevin Ware led Georgia State (11-4, 4-2) with 19 points and nine rebounds and Jeremy Hollowell added 14 points.
