Northern Colorado beats Eastern Washington 96-90
GREELEY, Colo. -- Jordan Wilson made 10 of 11 shots for a career-high 26 points and Northern Colorado opened Big Sky Conference play with a 96-90 win over Eastern Washington on Thursday night.
Wilson made all three of his 3-point attempts and handed out seven assists. He reached double-digit scoring for the Bears (4-9) in all 13 games this season.
The Eagles (6-7) closed within 83-81 on Austin McBroom's free throws with 2:20 left. Wilson scored the next six to push the Bears' lead to eight and Dallas Anglin had a pair of dunks to cap the 10-2 run at 93-83 with 37 seconds left.
Anglin had 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting and Anthony Johnson scored 13. The Bears shot 9 of 13 from 3-point range and 61.5 percent overall.
Felix Von Hofe had 27 points, Venky Jois added 25 points and 10 rebounds and McBroom scored 18 for Eastern Washington.
