Wilson scores 19 points as Army beats Air Force 90-80
AIR FORCE ACADEMY -- Kyle Wilson scored 19 points and grabbed five rebounds as Army beat Air Force 90-80 on Saturday.
Wilson did it with 6-of-11 shooting from the field including four 3-pointers for the Black Knights (8-2). Tanner Plomb added 18 points and Larry Toomey and Adam Roe had 10 apiece.
Army trailed 20-15 midway through the first half but Wilson hit a 3-pointer and Jordan Fox sank a jumper to tie it, 20-20, and the Black Knights never trailed after that. They led 43-32 at the break.
Air Force closed to within five points, 81-76, with 1:19 left but a Wilson 3-pointer with 56 second to go helped keep Army on top.
Hayden Graham posted a double-double, scoring 21 points with 12 rebounds for the Falcons (6-4). Zach Kocur added 15 points, six rebounds and three steals.
