COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Zach Moer scored a career-high 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds, Zach Kocur added 14 points and Air Force beat NAIA-member Johnson & Wales 80-56 on Tuesday night.
Frank Toohey added a career-high 10 points for Air Force (8-4), which outrebounded JWU 42-33 and forced 18 turnovers.
The Falcons scored the first seven points of the game and never trailed. They closed the first half on a 9-2 run for a 38-29 lead as Johnson & Wales went without a field goal for over six minutes.
Air Force opened the second half with a 10-2 run for a 17-point lead and Johnson & Wales did not get closer than 11 points the rest of the way.
Aaron Stone scored 14 points for Johnson & Wales, which was limited to 17-of-55 shooting (30.9 percent).
