Kennesaw State beats Florida A&M 61-41
KENNESAW, Ga. -- Kendrick Ray had 11 points and 10 rebounds, Yonel Brown added 10 points, and Kennesaw State never trailed in its 61-41 win over Florida A&M on Wednesday night.
Aubrey Williams grabbed nine rebounds and had three steals for the Owls (2-7), who won the rebounding battle 48-34 -- with 15 on the offensive end.
Bernard Morena and Brown combined for six of the 15 assists the Owls used in making 23 field goals.
Nick Masterson hit two 3-pointers in Kennesaw State's opening 17-3 run and the Owls led 27-12 at halftime. The Rattlers opened the second half with an 8-2 run, but the Owls replied with a 17-3 spurt and led by 23 with 3:05 left.
Francois Lewis and K'Ja Johnson scored 11 apiece for the Rattlers (3-5), who made 1 of 10 3-pointers and shot 34 percent from the field.
