Bradley leads Oral Roberts to 80-65 win over Missouri State
TULSA, Okla. -- Jalen Bradley nailed 4 of 6 3-pointers to finish with 16 points as Oral Roberts opened the season with an 80-65 win over Missouri State on Friday night.
Obi Emegano added 15 points and Albert Owens chipped in 14 and blocked three shots.
Oral Roberts rolled to a 39-22 lead at the break and was ahead 47-27 with 16:38 left in the game.
The Bears had 28 points in the paint compared to ORU's 24 but the Golden Eagles had 17 fast-break points compared to Missouri State's two.
ORU was 24 of 56 (42.9%) from the field and the Bears were 22 of 54 (40.7%). The Golden Eagles won at the free throw line, making 24-of-32 attempts, compared to Missouri State's 15-of-22 shooting.
Chris Kendrix led the Bears with 13 points, Jordan Martin had 11 and Loomis Gerring chipped in 10. Obediah Church had 10 rebounds and five blocked shots.
