Chattanooga dumps Hiwassee 94-55 on 16 points from Tuoyo
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- Justin Tuoyo had 16 points, four rebounds and four blocks to lift Chattanooga to a 94-55 win over Hiwassee on Monday night.
Tuoyo shot 5 for 6 from the field and 6 for 7 from the free-throw line. He made three free throws and a dunk to push the Mocs' lead to 45-19 with 2:48 to play in the first half.
Thirteen of 14 players scored for Chattanooga (2-0).
Peyton Woods added 14 points for Chattanooga, Dee Oldham had nine and four other Mocs-Tre' McLean, Casey Jones, Johnathan Burroughs-Cook and Alex Bran-had eight points each.
The Mocs held a 46-26 rebounding advantage.
Demetrius Kitchens led the Tigers with 12 points and Danny Graves added 11.
Both teams combined to commit 48 turnovers.
